唐布洛斯基表示，自己一直都很支持經典賽，是否放行球員參賽的原則很簡單，「如果球員想打，只要他健康且做好準備，他們都可以去打。」
談到旗下三巨投都傾向退出經典賽，唐布洛斯基表示，「這是他們自己的決定，他們在備戰上都很聰明，唯有在認為自己做好準備的情況下，才會答應出戰經典賽，如果他們想打，我不會有任何的猶豫。」
唐布洛斯基表態支持經典賽，但「波士頓先鋒報」也很老實寫著：「三位投手屆時都將在紅襪春訓基地，在球團關注的眼神之下投球，不管唐斯布洛斯基承不承認，這點肯定會讓他很開心。」

勇士教頭柯爾（Steve Kerr）說：「上半場對方打得很有侵略性，我們的防守則不理想，而且整體注意力不集中，打得很掙扎，但下半場的防守和專注度都有提升，封鎖對方攻勢。」
儘管勇士一度以16分落後，但柯爾並不擔心，他說：「我相信球員會重新站起來，展現奮戰精神。」最終球員沒讓他失望，在下半場打得精采。
